• MUST HAVE INFUSION RN EXPERIENCE
• 1 year experience BLS - Required
• RN License - Required
• Needs to be able to start IVs.
• Comfortable working with PICC lines, Midlines, and portacaths.
• Able to draw labs peripherally and from Piccs and portacaths.
• Familiar with and able to administer antibiotics, IVIG, Blood transfusions, GI and Rheumatoid medications, and iron products and other medications for infusion.
• Must be able to administer subcutaneous and IM injections.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates
• Bachelor's Degree - Preferred

Job Function: 07. Unit Specific Job Function. Demonstrates knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures and equipment encountered for surgical patient’s. Individualizes patient care according to the procedure and type of anesthesia across the continuum of care. Assesses patient reaction and understanding of procedure/instructions.
Job Function: 08. Responsibility and Accountability. Contributes to the perioperative team by assuming responsibility and accountability for directing patient care by prioritizing the care of patient’s depending on their needs and any changes in their condition.
Job Function: 09. Patient Education and Chart Completion. Assesses patient’s understanding of surgical procedure/instructions, actively including the patient and family members in teaching. Performs pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.
Job Function: 10. Duties Specific to PAT RN. Supports the completion of patient testing in a timely manner. Evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and for potential omissions based on proposed surgery, patient age, and current state of health.
