Requirements :

Active Michigan RN license required.
-
Minimum of 1 year of recent Stepdown nursing experience.
-
Cardiac nursing experience required.
-
Previous travel nursing experience required.
-
Comfortable with EKG monitoring and interpretation.
-
Willingness to float to similar units based on staffing needs.
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
-
Completed RN specialty skills checklist within the required timeframe.
Unit & Patient Population
-
Adult acute care setting focused on cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
-
Patient population may include:
-
Cardiac procedures and post-procedure recovery
-
Congestive heart failure management
-
Electrophysiology patients
-
Post-surgical cardiac care
-
Medical-surgical and complex care patients
-
Role Responsibilities
-
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in patient conditions.
-
Provide evidence-based nursing care using clinical judgment.
-
Manage cardiac monitoring and support patients with complex cardiovascular needs.
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe and effective patient outcomes.

Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery.
