Travel Medical Respiratory RN jobs at the facility in Tuscaloosa, AL place you in a 787-bed acute care hospital with a regional trauma center. Medical Respiratory Tele is a 42-bed unit specializing in acute and chronic respiratory conditions, with nurses caring for patients with pneumonia, COPD, shortness of breath, and other lung diseases. The unit also treats medical patients with gastrointestinal issues, diabetes, and occasional stroke or surgical needs, maintaining a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio. Tuscaloosa is a lively city in west-central Alabama, home to the University of Alabama and the renowned Bryant-Denny Stadium. The city offers access to the Tuscaloosa Riverwalk, a scenic trail along the Black Warrior River. You must have an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a compact state, at least 1 year of recent medical-surgical / tele experience, and current ACLS certification. Experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems and strong respiratory care skills are recommended.
