Travel CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) RN jobs at the facility in Salem, VA place you in a 500+ bed community hospital, one of the region’s leading acute care centers. The unit specializes in caring for patients needing temporary ventricular pacing (TVP), transcutaneous pacing (TCP), post-cardiac catheterization, sheath removal, bedside tracheostomy, and slow low-efficiency dialysis (SLED). Salem is just 10 miles from Roanoke, making it a short drive to the nearest major city. The area features the Roanoke Valley Greenway, a scenic trail system popular for walking and biking. You must have an active Virginia or compact RN license, at least 1 year of recent CICU or critical care experience, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems and advanced cardiac care skills are recommended.
