RN: yes CST: yes Nursing Assistant: yes First Assist (if applicable): yes Case Types: GYN GENERAL ROBOTICS—BARIATRIC, PROSTATE, HERNIA, GALLBLADDER, HYSTERECTOMY UROLOGY ORTHO ORTHO/SPINE PODIATRY PLASTICS CATARACT ENT ENDOSCOPY—COLON, EGD, ERCP, BRONCHOSCOPY Average # of cases performed in a day: 25 Required Licensure and Certifications: RN: BLS, ACLS Scrub Tech: BLS, National certification (CST) – NBSTSA required – MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH PROFILE Nursing Assistant: BLS First Assist: BLS, National certification (CSFA) – NBSTSA required - MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH PROFILE Skills required: RN: able to circulate above cases Scrub Tech: able to scrub above cases independently Nursing Assistant: general knowledge of the OR First Assist (if applicable): able to assist independently Technology/Equipment: EMR: Epic IV pumps: Alaris Medication dispensing: Omnicell Floating: No floating required Orientation: How many days are given? Dependent on skillset and experience Scheduling: Weekend rotation: weekend call – discussed during interview On call? If so, what is that schedule? RN: dependent on staffing – typically one weekend every 7 weeks Scrub Tech: dependent on staffing – typically one weekend every 5 weeks Nursing Assistant: No call First Assist (if applicable): dependent on staffing – typically one weekend every 5 weeks Holiday Expectations? Schedule 2-8hr (630-3p) and 2-12hr (630-7p) shifts per week, day off varies, weekend call every 4th weekend (Friday 11p-Monday 7a). Possibility of 11p-7a weeknight call (rare). Response time ifor call is 45 minutes.
