Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Interventional Radiology department, including continuous monitoring of patient condition, vital signs, and intravenous lines
• Administer medications under the direction of a physician and assist with various procedures performed in the Imaging department
• Maintain and inspect emergency equipment and supplies, including crash carts and emergency drug reaction kits, ensuring proper working order at all times
• Serve as a liaison between the Imaging department and patient care divisions, ensuring accurate documentation of patient records and timely communication of any adverse changes in patient condition
• Assist with patient comfort and administer first aid as applicable; interact with patients across various age groups and diverse social and economic backgrounds
• Float to other areas as needed and perform other duties as assigned by the Imaging Director

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, and BLS
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience
• Proficiency in IV maintenance and emergency patient care skills
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Flu vaccination or a client-approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification with ARNA (American Radiological Nurses Association) preferred
• Experience with invasive and non-invasive procedures across IR suite, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Diagnostic imaging environments
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR; experience with or willingness to transition to Epic
• Critical care nursing background with the ability to remain composed and effective under pressure
