Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) | Rotating weekends and holidays | Onsite | Float within scope as needed | Block scheduling is not available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring and a higher level of observation than a Medical-Surgical unit
• Manage common patient populations including CHF, NSTEMI, stroke, pulmonary disorders, diabetes, multi-system disease, pre-cardiac catheterization, and post-surgical patients
• Maintain staffing ratios of 1:4 in PCU beds and typically 1:5 (maximum 1:6) for telemetry patients
• Float within scope of practice as needed across the unit
• Complete required onboarding modules prior to start date through the facility's online learning portal

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Active Maryland RN license or compact license held at time of submission — no exceptions
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Local travelers are welcome — no radius rule applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with MEDITECH electronic health records system
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
