Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | No weekends or holidays unless approved in advance | Expected 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language pathology evaluations and treatment visits in a home health setting using a point-based visit system (32–34 points required per week)
• Document all patient encounters and clinical notes using Wellsky charting software
• Call in to report all missed visits and changes in visit frequency, or when unable to contact a patient
• Manage a caseload across the Houston region, with paid drive time factored into scheduling
• Adhere to professional dress standards: clean scrubs, closed-toe shoes, and minimal facial jewelry (small nose stud and earrings permitted)
• Overtime may be available if drive time causes the workweek to exceed 40 hours

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent licensed SLP experience (private duty experience does not qualify; new graduates are not eligible)
• Home health experience required; this may be a first travel assignment provided home health experience is met
• BLS and First Aid certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Wellsky or similar home health EMR/charting platforms
• Experience managing a point-based or productivity-driven caseload
• Strong communication and time-management skills for an independent, field-based role
