Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts) | 3 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) expected per 6-week period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient physical therapy services within an acute care hospital setting, including evaluation and treatment of patients with complex medical needs
• Work independently to assess and treat patients in a Trauma Level II facility with Stroke Certification
• Document patient care and progress using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in weekend coverage as expected per the rotation schedule
• May be required to float to a nearby sister facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist license required (may submit with license pending, with proof of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience strongly preferred; candidates must be able to work independently
• Acute care experience is required — hard stop
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard traveler rates; locals within 50 miles are accepted at a different rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma experience is highly preferred; candidates without trauma experience should be comfortable working in a fast-paced trauma environment independently
• First-time travelers accepted with qualifying acute care and trauma experience
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
