Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 or Level 4 NICU setting, caring for premature infants and neonates with complex diagnoses including cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical needs, ECMO, and therapeutic cooling
Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 (ICU level) and 1:3 (Level 2), delivering high-acuity nursing care in a 71-bed unit including 17 stepdown beds
Utilize Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems to document and monitor patient status
Complete a Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab assessment, including Foley catheter insertion with strict adherence to sterile field technique
Float as needed to Mother Baby or Labor Care units (babies only)
Fulfill weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period, with holiday coverage based on unit needs

Required Qualifications

Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience (Level 3 or Level 4 required)
BLS certification (required)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (required)
Demonstrated competency in sterile field technique, including Foley catheter insertion
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (driver's license used as source of truth)

Preferred Experience / Skills

Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Cardiac STABLE certification is a plus
Experience with ECMO and/or therapeutic cooling patients
Familiarity with Cerner EMR
