Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a PICU setting at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Manage complex patient diagnoses including respiratory distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, CRRT, ECMO, hematology/oncology, multi-system organ failure, and suicide attempts
• Operate and monitor ventilators and inotropic drips; assist with or support CRRT and ECMO procedures
• Float to NICU as required and to Peds ED for admitted patient assignments when patients are holding; optional cross-training to PED assignment available
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Fulfill weekend shift expectations: approximately 5 weekend shifts per schedule for night shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights considered weekends)

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending New Mexico RN License
• BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• PALS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1.5 years of PICU nursing experience
• Flu shot required prior to start
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience with CRRT and ECMO procedures
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilators and inotropic drip management
• Familiarity with Cerner charting platform
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus
