Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate care nursing for a high-acuity patient population requiring close monitoring and complex interventions
• Manage patients on high-acuity oxygen therapy, BiPAP, tracheostomies, and ventilators within the intermediate care unit
• Care for lower-acuity intermediate care patients in an overflow unit designed to decompress the emergency department, facilitating transitions to med/surg when beds become available
• Administer and monitor heparin drips, insulin drips, and cardiac drips across patient populations
• Coordinate patient transfers and support throughput in a fast-paced, open-unit environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or compact equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a progressive care, step-down, or intermediate care unit setting
• Familiarity with ventilator management and tracheostomy care
• Experience managing drip titration including heparin, insulin, and cardiac medications
