Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Manage a full hand therapy caseload, including fabrication of splints and delivery of outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy services
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Florida
• Demonstrated experience in outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy
• Must be comfortable managing a full hand therapy caseload and fabricating splints
• Ability to complete documentation and maintain compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential strongly preferred
• Experience participating in clinical student programs and providing mentorship
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives in an outpatient setting
