Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments — including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs — and synthesize findings to guide care planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and communicate individualized plans of care for patients with complex problems
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for high-risk or complex discharge planning situations
• Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives while promoting a safe and secure hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC)
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Experience working with complex patient populations requiring multidisciplinary coordination
• Familiarity with patient education strategies across diverse cultural and developmental backgrounds
