Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 10-hour shifts | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a 7-room OR suite serving a diverse surgical patient population including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, GYN, ENT (pediatric and adult), pain, and dental (pediatric)
• Operate and assist with specialty equipment including Hana table, trauma table, Enseal, Myosure, Novasure, Kabtec, Neoprobe, and related OR instrumentation
• Document patient care accurately using the Paragon electronic health record (EHR) system
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout perioperative care phases
• Participate in occasional on-call coverage to support the designated call team during PTO days as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience plus at least one prior travel assignment
• Demonstrated experience with C-sections, orthopedic, general, urology, GYN, ENT (pediatric and adult), pain, and dental (pediatric) surgical cases
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation as required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Paragon EHR or comparable hospital information systems
• Experience working in a community or critical access hospital OR environment
• Comfort working within a close-knit, family-oriented team culture
