Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Deliver compassionate, customer- and family-focused care while maintaining accountability for the quality of nursing services provided
• Define, implement, and contribute to improvements in practice standards and the care environment
• Float to Med Surg on a regular basis as operationally needed
• Perform IV insertions and provide care to adult patient populations
• Utilize Epic EMR to accurately document and manage patient information

Required Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license (a temporary MN nursing license is accepted provided a permanent license application has been submitted and the temporary license is in hand at time of submittal)
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required — documentation required at submittal
• 2+ years of Critical Care and ICU experience
• 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Med Surg and Telemetry training
• Epic EMR experience
• Ability to insert IVs and experience with adult patient populations
• Current skills checklist (within the past year, pertinent to specialty) — documentation required
• 2 supervisory references with dates of employment — documentation required
• MN DHS Net Study and Fingerprinting required for this patient-facing position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a rotating shift environment across multiple care settings
• Familiarity with high-acuity ICU patient populations in a hospital setting
• Experience working within a large, multi-site health system
