Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:22 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 Hours/Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 25-bed telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1
• Perform and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitoring, including dysrhythmia recognition
• Administer and monitor commonly used medications including IVF, metoprolol, hydralazine, atorvastatin, enoxaparin, heparin, furosemide, insulin, potassium chloride, and oxycodone
• Operate common unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, bladder scanners, and glucometers
• Complete required Dysrhythmia and Basic Math assessments prior to start during onboarding
• Float to units of the same level of care as needed; expected to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Telemetry interpretation skills required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
• At least 1 professional reference from entire work history required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS and/or NIHSS certification
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric telemetry patients
