Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Mid Shifts Available (various start times between 05:00–19:00) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency and Urgent Care department treating approximately 140–180 patients per day
• Perform triage for walk-in patients and ambulance arrivals as expected of all nursing staff
• Manage a patient assignment at a 1:3 ratio (ER) or 1:6 ratio (Urgent Care), including holds intermixed within the department
• Administer and monitor common drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nicardipine, and norepinephrine
• Care for a diverse patient population including chest pain, sepsis, abdominal pain, syncope, elevated heart rate, headache, and psychiatric/suicidal ideation patients
• Maintain all required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Wisconsin
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience
• Pediatric emergency nursing experience
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records
• ENPC certification (encouraged but not required)
• Familiarity with GE monitoring systems and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience in a STEMI-receiving or Stroke Center environment
