Contract | Days | Monday/Wednesday 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM; Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (No schedule variations)

Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
• Promote patient and employee safety across all key areas including safe patient handling, infection control, and fall prevention

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing (DC licensure required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in outpatient orthopedics; strong new graduate candidates will be considered
• Ability to complete documentation and goal writing in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Commitment to professional standards and applicable codes of conduct, including patient confidentiality

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
• Demonstrated involvement in continuing education, self-study, or professional organizations
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies in a clinical setting
