Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 8- or 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday | Start Time: 6:45 AM | On-call requirements apply: 4–6 weekday call shifts per month and every 3rd weekend (schedules are subject to change based on circumstances)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the circulating RN in an active operating room environment supporting a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, laparoscopy, urology, GYN, podiatry, ophthalmology, ENT, and pediatric dentistry
- Operate within a 6-OR suite utilizing standard OR equipment, including a DaVinci Xi Robotmaintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical cases
- Document and manage patient care using the Meditech electronic health record system
- Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled, including weekend call rotations
- Care for a diverse patient population including adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients (excluding children under 1 year of age)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for practice in the state of North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience in circulating and operating room nursing
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience scrubbing in on surgical cases
- Familiarity with Meditech EHR
- Exposure to robotic-assisted surgery (e.g., DaVinci platform)
