Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM | Schedule flexibility available (4x10 or 5x8)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluations (1-hour slots) and treatments (45-minute slots) in an outpatient clinic setting
• Manage a caseload primarily consisting of adult and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric and adolescent cases
• Treat a variety of diagnoses including joint replacements, CVA, pain, fractures, neurological conditions, deconditioning, and vestibular issues
• Collaborate with seasoned PTAs, as well as Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy services within the clinic
• Cover one Saturday per month at the inpatient/acute rehab unit, with a compensatory day off during that same week
• Document patient care using Cerner electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active West Virginia Physical Therapist license required prior to start date (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption accepted with documented allergist or physician record
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Former permanent employees of the health system must have a gap of at least 2 years from their last permanent employment date before being eligible for a travel contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience treating joint replacements, neurological conditions, and vestibular disorders
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Experience working in both outpatient and inpatient/acute rehab settings
• Comfort working alongside PTAs in a collaborative clinic environment
