Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and pediatric patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical conditions and diagnoses in an ICU setting
• Maintain a staffing ratio of 2:1 in the ICU and 3:1 in the Step-Down Unit (SDU)
• Administer and manage medications using an automated dispensing system (Pyxis)
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system
• Perform NIHSS assessments as required for all RN staff
• Adhere to all unit protocols, including wearing a mask at all times while in the ICU

Required Qualifications

• Active Single State Oklahoma RN license or valid Compact nursing license
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience
• Pediatric experience is required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications — must be American Heart Association (AHA) issued
• NIHSS certification required
• Navy Blue scrubs required for RN staff

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a combined adult and pediatric ICU environment
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience in a Step-Down Unit (SDU) setting in addition to ICU
