Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with patient ratios of approximately 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
• Work collaboratively with techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerk support across day and night shifts
• Float as needed within all sections of the ED; no floating outside of the Emergency Department
• Uphold patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards and patients updated throughout their visit
• Maintain all required certifications prior to or within the required timeframes of the assignment start date

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• ACLS – required before start date
• BLS – required before start date
• PALS – required before start date
• TNCC – required before start date
• CPI – required before start date
• NIHSS – required before start date
• ENPC – required within 90 days of start date
• Ability to work every other weekend; scheduling must meet departmental needs; block scheduling is not available
• Navy scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous HCA facility experience
• Demonstrated ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to team members
• Strong teamwork mentality with flexibility to work across all areas of the ED
• Experience serving diverse, multicultural patient populations
