Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume ED border setting, managing a wide variety of diagnoses including complex ED admission cases
• Operate within a 1:6 patient ratio, with an average daily census ranging from a minimum of 10 up to 40 border patients across 46 rooms
• Float as required between ED borders, extenders, MS/Telemetry, and IMC units within specialty and scope
• Deliver care aligned with MS/Telemetry and IMC border patient care standards; CPI certification required for compliance
• Participate in holiday scheduling as shifts fall per schedule; no pre-scheduled on-call shifts required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• ACLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible (permanent address required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or IMC setting
• Comfort working in high-acuity, high-volume border or ED-adjacent environments
• Flexibility to float within scope with no restrictions, as travelers are first to float
