Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 15-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Operate and manage IV infusion using Alaris pumps and document care using the MEDITECH EMR system
• Support and assist with post-operative care for patients undergoing procedures such as hip/knee replacement and colectomy
• Collaborate with a unit team consisting of RNs and PCTs across day and night shifts
• Participate in rotating weekend assignments as required by unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to wear navy scrubs per unit dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Rhythm interpretation skills
• Experience with MEDITECH EMR
• Flexible, team-oriented personality well-suited to a fast-paced surgical/medical environment
