Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | No weekends, holidays, call, or floating required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform phone triage and nursing assessments for oncology patients, managing approximately 20–30 patient encounters per day primarily via phone calls and patient portal messages
• Provide chemotherapy education to patients both virtually and in-person, with a maximum of 3 chemo teaches per day; ONS chemotherapy certification required for patient education
• Educate patients on treatment plans and disease processes, including diagnoses such as pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, and general medical oncology
• Coordinate care for complex patients and communicate with providers and care team members regarding patient care needs
• Process prescription refills as appropriate within scope of practice
• Collaborate with medical assistants and charge RN to support clinic workflow and patient care delivery

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
• ONS chemotherapy certification required (for patient education purposes)
• BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Proficiency in Epic EMR
• Strong triage and nursing assessment skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior outpatient oncology nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with care coordination of complex oncology patients
• Familiarity with patient portal communication platforms and virtual patient education
• OCN certification preferred but not required
