Travel RN – PCU / Progressive Care Unit

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility protocols
• Support the onboarding and operational needs of a newly opening unit with a projected start date of December 15, 2026

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum of 1 year of PCU, Step-Down, or IMC nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Step-Down environment
• Experience working in a newly opened or rapidly growing unit
• Strong adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic clinical setting
