Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Weekends and holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Care for a diverse patient population including cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedic patients
• Demonstrate proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNAs, unit secretaries, and support staff
• Float to like or lower acuity units as needed based on census; may care for IMCU patients
• Adhere to unit scheduling expectations; block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated and no Christmas or Christmas Eve RTO will be considered

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry experience
• Active North Carolina RN license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission; licenses with unresolved findings are not eligible for review
• Required certifications in hand at time of submission: CPI, ACLS, and BLS
• Must be proficient with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic health records system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry setting
