Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department serving all age populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients
• Manage patient assignments across main area, fast track, and extended care zones in accordance with established patient ratios
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients presenting with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, CVA, and pneumonia
• Operate within a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Accredited facility, following applicable protocols
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EHR
• Collaborate with charge nurses, medics, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient flow and quality outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice in North Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required prior to start
• Every other weekend availability required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a stroke center or chest pain accredited emergency environment
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR platform
• Well-rounded, team-oriented approach to patient care and collaboration
