Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 12 Weeks | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | 2 weekends per month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 3–4:1, or 1:1 for trauma and critical patients
• Perform and assist with a wide range of procedures including peripheral and ultrasound-guided IV insertion, IO insertion management, 12-lead ECG acquisition, defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, and transcutaneous pacing
• Administer IV medications and blood products, monitor procedural sedation, and perform medication titration including administration of TNK
• Conduct wound care procedures including wound irrigation, hemorrhage control, tourniquet application, and splint application
• Utilize Meditech documentation system and Broselow/Panda system; operate Belmont rapid infuser and support MTP implementation
• Collaborate closely with physicians and mid-level providers in a team-oriented environment; Navy Blue scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Active Utah RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Proficiency with EKGs, breathing treatments, digit blocks, and knowledge of chest tube, central line, and LP setup

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC, NRP, or ENPC certification
• Ultrasound-guided IV insertion skills
• Experience with pediatric IV insertion and peds-specific care tools
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
