Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend expected, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights | Holiday shifts may be scheduled if a holiday falls within the assignment period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 54-bed Cardiovascular Telemetry unit, organized across three 18-bed wings
• Care for cardiovascular telemetry patients, including those in an overflow unit setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other units based on facility needs as requested
• Complete NIH stroke scale assessments and apply stroke education protocols as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia, or a compact license with proof provided at time of submittal
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Specialty (telemetry/cardiovascular) experience within the last year required
• One supervisory professional reference required at time of submittal
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same base rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a cardiovascular telemetry or step-down unit setting
• Flexible scheduling availability with minimal time-off requests during the assignment period
• Experience working in a large, multi-wing inpatient unit environment
