Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment with an average daily census of 114 and a typical patient ratio of 1:4
• Operate within a 29-room emergency department, managing a diverse patient population across varying acuity levels
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, with an expectation to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• In the event of an emergency or disaster, may be assigned to an Emergency Team by the unit manager, with an expectation to remain at the facility until the event passes or to serve as part of a relief team
• Complete required facility orientation modules, which are conducted onsite and factored into orientation hours
• Maintain active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications (CPI may be completed onsite prior to start)

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license required — must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required — AHA-issued certifications required
• CPI certification required — candidates should be prepared to obtain this prior to start, as it can be difficult to secure; may be completed onsite if not yet obtained
• NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Two Manager/Supervisor references (in PDF format) required prior to start — Charge RN references are not accepted
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on the candidate's driver's license to the facility) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
• Familiarity with high-volume emergency department workflows and varying patient acuity levels
• Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling, including 3x12 or 4x12 shift structures based on unit needs
