Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Mixed 9, 10, and 12-hour shifts with varying start times; cyclic scheduling managed by supervisors. Every 4th weekend required for day shift. Two holidays per year. Weekend call expected once every six weeks; weeknight call expected approximately 3–4 nights per month when fully staffed and may increase if department is not at full capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI imaging on adult, geriatric, and select pediatric patients, including those presenting through the ER
• Conduct advanced MRI procedures including MRI with sedation or general anesthesia, MRI on patients with conditional pacemakers, and MRI breast imaging
• Operate department MRI equipment including Siemens Espree, Siemens Trio, and GE Architect across 3 MRI machines
• Document and manage imaging studies using EPIC (EMR) and McKesson (PACS)
• Float to CT coverage as needed; night shift staff must be able to cover X-ray
• Adhere to department fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal and will be used to verify candidate resides outside the 50-mile radius
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates currently working full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and/or Dignity Health) are not eligible
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront; no more than 7 days per 13-week contract period will be approved, and additional RTO will not be approved after submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CT experience strongly preferred; candidates with CT and X-ray experience are highly desirable
• Experience with advanced MRI protocols including sedation, general anesthesia, conditional pacemakers, and breast MRI
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS systems
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume imaging department
