Travel RN – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week, including every other weekend and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with patient ratios of 4:1 to 5:1
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and thorough clinical documentation
• Deliver care to a diverse emergency department patient population, including those with behavioral health needs within a dedicated locked behavioral health unit
• Adapt to workflow changes associated with an active department renovation and expansion
• Collaborate within a team-oriented environment, demonstrating flexibility and strong communication skills
• Operate standard emergency care equipment in a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Maine
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department and/or Critical Care experience
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI, and NIHSS
• Completion of required facility education modules through the education department
• Professional attire required; any solid scrub color is acceptable

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2–5 years of combined Emergency Department and Critical Care experience
• Experience working in a behavioral health or medical/psychiatric swing bed environment
• Familiarity with stroke center protocols and Joint Commission standards
