Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations (60-minute eval, 45-minute treatment) and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education requirements
• Promote patient and employee safety through safe patient handling, materials handling, infection control, and hazard reporting practices

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Maryland
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist (new graduates are not eligible for this role)
• Ability to practice independently as a solo-site clinician
• Strong clinical reasoning skills with the ability to develop and progress individualized treatment plans toward discharge goals
• Proficiency in medical record documentation and compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an outpatient therapy setting
• Familiarity with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
• Active involvement in continuing education and professional development activities
