Travel RN – Surgical ICU (SICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed Surgical ICU setting with a standard patient ratio of 2:1 (may increase to 3:1 based on unit needs)
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including bedside monitoring, IABP, CRRT, and Impella devices
• Perform and assist with procedures including central line insertion and care and chest tube insertion and care
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to MICU, telemetry, and med-surg units as needed
• Collaborate with charge RNs, unit secretaries, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Louisiana or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
• Proficiency with bedside monitoring and critical care equipment
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac ICU experience
• Surgical ICU experience
• Experience with IABP, CRRT, or Impella devices
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
