Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Neuro/Surgical Telemetry)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Three weekend shifts per four-week schedule | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro/Surgical Telemetry unit in an intermediate/step-down care setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Utilize Epic EMR to document patient care, assessments, and clinical interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• May be required to float to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units or low-acuity ICU as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN license or active compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience within the last 18 months, clearly documented on candidate profile including where Epic was utilized; candidates must pass the Epic competency exam (one attempt allowed)
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission; additional time-off requests will not be considered after submission
• Local candidates are welcome and are accepted at the same rate as travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience is highly preferred
• Experience floating across Medical-Surgical or Telemetry units
• Familiarity with neurological and surgical patient populations
