Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 36-bed ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized infusions
• Care for patients presenting with diagnoses such as abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
• Collaborate with in-house intensivists and respiratory therapy staff available 24/7, utilizing equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and mechanical ventilators
• Fulfill weekend requirements; expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule in alignment with department needs and equitable staff distribution
• May be required to float within Zone 1 and fulfill on-call or standby requirements as determined by nurse management

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted
• Must be available and present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are conducted remotely

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior ICU nursing experience with complex, critically ill patient populations
• Experience titrating a broad range of vasoactive and specialized drips in a critical care environment
• Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment including mechanical ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
