Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish individualized plans of care for those requiring physical therapy services
• Deliver patient care within accepted boundaries of physical therapy practice as defined by the New Mexico State Board of Physical Therapy
• Adhere to standards and policies set forth by the American Physical Therapy Association and applicable accreditation organizations
• Provide both outpatient and some inpatient physical therapy services
• Complete AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire if not already current
• Complete Rehab Department Aquatic Competency testing within 90 days of hire if aquatic therapy is part of work or treatment requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
• Active New Mexico Physical Therapist license (temporary or provisional license accepted; permanent license must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• AHA BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to pass the Rehab Department Aquatic Competency test within 90 days of hire, if aquatic therapy is included in treatment responsibilities

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience preferred
• Prior experience in both outpatient and inpatient therapy settings
• Familiarity with aquatic therapy techniques and protocols
