Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Self-scheduling unit

Key Responsibilities

• Provide observation-level nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an Emergency Department Observation Unit setting with an expected patient ratio of 1:5
• Perform continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, including on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring
• Manage central lines, peripheral lines, PICC lines, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and IV insertion and maintenance
• Administer heparin protocols and manage non-titratable cardiac drips; support patients with temporary and permanent pacemakers
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code Team activations; provide CVA care and pre/post hemodialysis and renal failure management
• Float within the hospital within scope of practice to meet facility needs; maintain isolation precautions, PPE compliance, and wound/wound vac care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of RN experience required
• Valid Maryland RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong cardiac telemetry and observation-level nursing experience required
• Proficiency in Cerner electronic health records required
• Willingness to float within the hospital within scope of practice required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Emergency Department holding experience preferred
• PCU or Step-Down unit experience preferred
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
