Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a mixed-acuity unit serving PCU, MS Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical patients, with ratios adjusted by acuity
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias, administer blood products, and oversee cardiac drip titration and heparin protocols
• Perform and manage central line care, PICC line management, IV insertion, phlebotomy, port access, and peripheral line care
• Care for surgical patients including ENT, general surgery, trauma surgery, and orthopedic surgery populations, as well as overflow medical diagnosis patients
• Utilize respiratory support modalities including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), external CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy management, and non-invasive airway management
• Float to corresponding sister units as needed; every-other-weekend requirement applies

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years is required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience is required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification
• TCAR (Transcarotid Artery Revascularization) experience
• Experience with wound care/wound vac, chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac), and peripheral nerve block catheters
• Familiarity with substance withdrawal management, seizure disorders, and CVA patient populations
