Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift basis
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes throughout the surgical episode of care
• Supervise clinical staff to whom appropriate patient care has been delegated
• Support facility nursing leadership to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
• Contribute to competency evaluation and development of clinical staff
• Participate in appropriate resource management related to patient care at the unit level

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or a compact state license that authorizes practice in Texas
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in an Operating Room or perioperative nursing setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with scrub and/or circulating roles in a surgical environment
• Familiarity with a variety of surgical specialties
• Prior experience in a supervisory or charge nurse capacity
