Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative nursing care including patient assessment, preparation, and education prior to surgical procedures
• Monitor and care for patients in the post-operative recovery phase, assessing for complications and managing pain
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure continuity and safety of patient care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members throughout the perioperative process

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact license eligibility
• BLS certification required
• Experience in pre-operative and/or post-operative nursing care
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a perioperative or surgical services setting
• Familiarity with PACU protocols and post-anesthesia care standards
• ACLS certification
