Travel RN – PCU / Progressive Care Unit (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Perform and manage post-catheterization care, including TR band management
• Administer and titrate medications, and perform advanced pulmonary treatments
• Document accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET communication, completion of communication boards, and medication teaching
• Float in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers per unit policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with PCU or progressive care background
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Proficiency with GE monitors, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Nova glucometers
• Demonstrated positive attitude, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with TR band management and post-cath care protocols
• Experience with advanced pulmonary treatments and medication titration
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Previous travel nursing experience in an acute care or PCU setting
