Key Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across outpatient to critical care inpatient populations
• Assist with vascular surgery cases in the OR and Hybrid Imaging suite; support Endo and Open cases alongside a team of nurses and surgical technicians
• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for provision and evaluation of care
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and other departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines
• Operate within the scope of nursing practice, including use of equipment such as the DaVinci Robotic System; document care using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Current RN License — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience (teaching hospital experience will be considered)
• Demonstrated experience as both a Scrub and OR Circulator
• Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. and perform physical demands consistent with an active OR environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level 1 Trauma experience with multiple years of OR practice
• Experience in a high-volume, complex surgical environment including vascular and robotic-assisted cases
• Highly motivated, self-starting personality with strong human relations and communication skills
