Key Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, patient- and family-centered care across the continuum of the life cycle, including adult and geriatric populations
• Execute the Standards of Nursing Practice including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized patient plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Delegate appropriate activities to other patient care providers and coordinate care across disciplines
• Monitor patients via remote telemetry as required by unit assignment
• Float to other patient care units as needed, adapting to unit-specific clinical skill requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license (a temporary MN nursing license is acceptable provided a permanent license application has been submitted and the temporary license is in hand at time of submittal)
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Remote telemetry experience
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must be available to work some holidays
• MN DHS Net Study and Fingerprinting required for this patient-facing position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with shared governance and shared accountability models in nursing practice
• Experience floating across multiple inpatient units or service lines
• Demonstrated personal leadership qualities and commitment to continuous practice improvement
