Travel RN – ICU (Neuroscience ICU) | Night Shift

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | No on-call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Neuroscience ICU at a 2:1 patient ratio
• Care for patients post-thrombectomy, post-TPA administration, post-tumor resection and biopsy, and those with lumbar drains and ventriculostomies
• Perform and interpret Q1-hour Pupillometer monitoring
• Assist with or support ventriculostomy insertion and lumbar drain management
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Float within the hospital as needed, including the neuroscience stepdown unit where a 4–5 patient ratio may apply; BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Experience caring for neuro/stroke patients
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Neuroscience ICU experience
• Familiarity with the Meditech documentation system
• Comfort caring for 4–5 patients when floated to a neuroscience stepdown unit
