Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Telemetry (Tele)

Contract | Travel | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize telemetry equipment to continuously monitor heart rhythms (EKG), blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and other vital signs.
• Analyze telemetry data to identify trends, abnormalities, and potential problems, and report findings to the treating physician or provider.
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and patient education with a focus on cardiac health.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies such as cardiac arrest and implement appropriate clinical interventions.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care in accordance with all policies, standards, and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN License required.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting.
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with MEDHOST EMR system.
• Proficiency in medication administration and monitoring for adverse effects.
• Knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in clinical documentation.
