Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Telemetry (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor heart rhythms (EKG), blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and other vital signs
• Analyze telemetry data to identify trends, abnormalities, and potential problems, and report findings to physicians
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and patient education with a focus on cardiac health
• Recognize and respond to emergencies such as cardiac arrest and implement appropriate interventions
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care in compliance with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN License
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Telemetry setting
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
• Floating to other units is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with MEDHOST EMR system
• Proficiency in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in patient care documentation
