Registered Nurse – Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Neuro Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage and monitor patients with stable post-stroke, stable neurosurgery, telemetry, and general medical diagnoses
• Maintain a patient ratio of 5:1, delivering safe, high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced progressive care environment
• Utilize Cerner EHR for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Float to Medical, Telemetry, and Neon units as required to support staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, Neuro, or related specialty setting
• Experience with neuro medical/stroke patients, neuro-orthopedic surgery patients, and telemetry monitoring
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Cerner EHR
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a progressive care or step-down unit
• Familiarity with neuro-orthopedic surgical patient care and post-stroke recovery protocols
• Experience floating across Medical and Telemetry units
